THIS could be your once in a lifetime chance to win an all expenses paid trip to watch the 'El Clasico' and UEFA Champions League final.

National Insurance Co Bhd (NICB) is looking to send one lucky winner on an all expenses paid expedition to participate in the Football World Trip 2012 slated for April.

The trip will see the lucky winner travel across nine countries Germany, Spain, Netherland, Bulgaria, Ireland, Turkey, Australia, Brunei and Brazil on four different continents as a reporter.

Kicking off with the 'El Clasico' match up between Spanish giants Barcelona FC and Real Madrid FC in Spain on April 22, the competition's winner will be writing reports on every aspect of football encountered from each of the countries visited during the trip.

"The winner of the event will be accompanied by a professional journalist to assist in the daily coverage of the various activities and stations along the journey," said Kolja Klawunn, the General Manager of the National Insurance Co Bhd (NICB), in the press briefing yesterday at the NICB head office at Kiarong's Regent Square.

The four-week trip will end with the UEFA Champions League final clash between the top two European clubs at the Allianz Arena in Munich on May 19.

"This is a very good opportunity to travel around the world and to learn about football and you don't have to sign up with us or become our customer to participate in this competition," said the general manager.

Those interested in participating are required to log in to www.football-for-life.com and apply online.

The participants will have to write a 100-word essay that will then be judged by the Allianz Group. The competition is open to all Brunei residents aged 18 and above.

Registration was opened on Feb 20 and is scheduled to run until March 19.

The objective of this project is to use it as a platform for the international football community to get together and communicate by sharing knowledge and interacting which will help to improve the qualities of life through football. The Brunei Times
