FORTY participants from Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College (KUPU SB) had a meeting with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Brunei Darussalam yesterday to discuss matters related to the group's educational visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Ambassador Mohamad Jameel Abdul Jaleel Hashim welcomed the delegation which was led by KUPU SB Abdullah Ramzy Al-Abdulatif Ahmed. The meeting was held at the Saudi Arabia Embassy in Kampung Salar.
The meeting discussed the visit which was planned on March 2012 with the hopes that it would enhance their knowledge and experience as well as strengthening ties of academic cooperation between the two nations.
Apart from a scientific visit to Ummul Qura'a Mekah Al-Mukarramah, a university in Mekah, the programme would also bring the group to Madinah to visit Nabi Muhammad (SAW)'s tomb , Universiti Islam Madinah and Masjid An-Nabawi. The eight-day visit from March 4to 11, 2012 is aimed at boosting Brunei's ties with other tertiary institutions in Saudi Arabia. The Brunei Times
