WITH reference to a report "Deal signed with Sikorsky" dated February 16, the first sentence should have correctly read: "Sikorsky Aerospace Services yesterday announced they had signed a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) with Brunei's Ministry of Defence (MinDef), where the five-year agreement will support the S-70i aircraft to be delivered by 2013, as well as Royal Brunei Armed Forces sales contract to provide 12 S-70i (TM) Black Hawk helicopters, a statement by PRNewswire via Comtex said."

The BOA, together with the Sale and Purchase Agreement of 12 S-70i helicopters, were signed between MinDef and Sikorsky on December 2, 2011 in Brunei and not in Singapore. Sikorsky announced the BOA deal during the Singapore Airshow.

The Sales and Purchase Agreement stipulates that Brunei has the option to procure another 10 aircrafts after the initial batch of helicopters are delivered.

The BOA is an agreement between Sikorsky and MinDef, for Sikorsky to provide the necessary support for the S-70i aircraft soon to be delivered.

The errors are regretted.
